Science Academy Software introduces "pay-to-play" online educational game site.


BRONX, NY. August 2004 Science Academy Software®, an educational software developer, introduces scienceacademy.tv -- an educational game "pay-to-play" site. This site is for high bandwidth clients that can support Flash, Java, and streaming video. The Scienceacademy.tv portal is home to a new online educational game called BasketMath V3.

BasketMath V3 is a math test in basketball game format. Users are presented math questions of a varying type. The successful completion of a question results in the user seeing a 3D Character animation. Animations include dribble, goal shot, layup, dunk, reverse dunk and backboard smashing. Sound, supported on IE 4.0 or later, makes the users learning experience fun.

The program's Results screen helps the user know the score and what areas to practice. Users can practice individual questions until they get them right. BasketMath V3 appeals to all ages (from age 8 to adult).

BasketMath is an alternative to standardized math tests, The application is ideal for home schooling. school and after-school programs, or simply tutoring students in basic math skills.

How "pay-to-play" works? Users can subscribe to the game using a major credit through Paypal. After processing, the user is a directed to a page with their screen name and password. From there, they log-in and play. Subscriptions begin immediately and end at midnight on the west coast (2400 hours PDT). Read FAQ.

Subscriptions come in two varieties. An individual one day subscription cost $3.50. A one day class subscription for 20 students costs $24.95. Both subscriptions are good for the day they subscribe.
