ScienceAcademy.TV
is a Educational Game "pay-for-play" portal of Science Academy Software.
This subscription-based site is for high bandwidth
clients that can support Flash, Java, and streaming video. What Educational Games? BasketMath 3.0 - a drill and practice mathematics test in Basketball game format. How can I play the game? Click the buy links to process your subscription. We will then direct you to your log-in information so you can immediately play. What do I need to run BasketMath? A PC with a high bandwidth Internet connection, a MS Internet Explorer browser 4.0 or later and Flash player plug-in. If you can see the twirling logo on this page, you should be able see the animations. How long do I get to play? Your screen name and password are good the day you subscribe and end midnight (2400 HRS GMT). When does my subscription begin? Your subscription begins immediately following payment processing and ends midnight (2400 Hours GMT). BasketMath V3 serves what age group? Ages 8 or more. Elementary grades 5-7, JHS grades 7-10. What concepts in mathematics are covered by BasketMath V3? See Teacher link What are the benefits of using BasketMathV3? This mathematics practice test in a Basketball game format is COOL! It uses colorful 3D graphic animations and sound. BasketMath prepares students for standardized math tests and contains a results page to indicate areas needing instruction, review, or practice. BasketMath V3 is educational and entertaining. How can my son play if I don't have a high bandwidth connection? Buy the BasketMathV3 CDROM. You can still play free at BasketMath Interactive at http://www.scienceacademy.com How much does a subscription costs? A one day subscription costs $3.50 -- a small price to pay when you think about the fun you'll have as you do something for your head. What forms of payment do you accept? Major credit cards (Visa/MasterCard/etc) are accepted through PayPal and Paystone . You may also mail in your subscription fee in the form of a check or money order and we will email you your login info (screen name and password). Purchase orders are accepted for multiple subscriptions. Be sure to request an activation date--see mailorder form. Is the content safe? Science Academy Software is acutely aware of the appropriate use of communications media for youth and takes this responsibility seriously. This is a "G" site (for general audiences). BasketMathV3 is kid safe. Can I give my screen name and password to my friends? NO. Can my family and friends play while I am logged in? Yes as long they understand and accept the terms of the BasketMath 3.0 End-User License. Please read it. Will BasketMath 3.0 run on my Mac? If your mac has MS Internet Explore 4.0 or later it should work. If you see the twirling logo above, you're probably good to go. Try the demo and see if it works for you before subscribing. Will BasketMath 3.0 run on Netscape? Yes BUT you will not hear the sound. I received my screen name and password yesterday but didn't use it, can I still have access? No; you would have to purchase another subscription. I forgot my screen name and/or password, can I still have access? No; you would have to purchase another subscription. Can I request an activation date? Yes, but not by email. You must use the mail order form. After receiving it, we will then email you a URL, screen name and password. The cost of this service is $4.50. Can I get a weekly, monthly, or annual subscription? Not at this time. I bought a subscription but the program doesn't seem to work on my computer? Email help@scienceacademy.com as soon as possible and tell us about it; we may be able to give you credit or refund. Please include your screen name, the URL and the EXACT time of the event and your time zone or country. How do I get a new game or test? You must log out to start a new game. If you are logged in, go to the Control Panel and click the Start button. The Control Panel is accessible at the beginning of the game, clicking EXIT logs you out. How do I practice a question? You can refresh your screen or use the Control Panel. How do I get a new question? Refresh your browser page. How can I see the animation again? Refresh your browser page. Why does BasketMathV3 take long to download? The software animations files are large. Network traffic and connections and time of day contribute to the delay in delivery. This is why high-bandwidth connections are recommended. We continue our efforts to reduce bandwidth requirements to deliver that FUN experience. Why is BasketMathV3 better the second time around? BasketMathV3 is saved in your computers' cache (memory) If your browser finds it there, it does not have to wait for the download and can run almost immediately. How do I contact support?
